The Association of Journalists of the UAE presented an ambitious strategy for four years ahead from 2025 to 2028, aimed at accompanying national and international development in the field of media across all its categories. This was announced at a press conference held today at the association's headquarters in Dubai with the participation of Fadhel Al-Main, president of the association, Hassan Al-Shamsi, secretary of the fund, and several journalists.

The announcement of the strategy coincided with the upcoming 25th anniversary of the association in January 2025. This step is seen as a continuation of the association’s mission since its founding in 2000 - to follow developments in economic, cultural, social, and political spheres, to be a home for opinions and words, a flagbearer for journalism in its development, to protect and uphold the principles and policies of the state.

"Today, we proudly announce the launch of the Media Innovation Center, which will become a laboratory for ideas and media initiatives, where we will provide a space for exchanging ideas and launching innovative projects, facilitating the development of journalism and media," said Al-Main.

This strategy will also include the creation of digital infrastructure for the association by updating the website to make it an interactive platform serving members and visitors, as well as visually reflecting the inspiring journey of the UAE.

Al-Main emphasized that the strategic goals are aimed not only at the present but also at paving the way for a bright future for journalism in the UAE. The association believes that national identity should be at the core of everything we do. Therefore, it works to strengthen this identity by supporting emerging youth with the goal of forming a new generation of young creative journalists capable of continuing the path and investing in the rich Arab and global journalism landscape.
