
The competitions of the sixth release of the initial stage of the marathon expedition on flamingos have been completed, organized by the Department of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center for Revival of National Heritage, at the Dubai Flamingo Club in the Marmum area. The distance of the initial race was 1200 meters for the open weight category, and Saudi competitor Walid As-Sarih took first place, followed by Italy's Nicolai Yusito and German competitor Jassie Eglin who finished in third place.
In the feathered weight category, 1500 meters, Chinese competitor Alexis took first place, followed by Marianna Panshanka from Belarus, and Ukrainian competitor Laura Azat came in third. In the races, 44 participants from 27 countries residing in the UAE competed, and there was a notable presence of spectators from various foreign communities in Dubai, who gathered to support the participants in an atmosphere filled with excitement.
The General Director of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center for Revival of National Heritage, Abdallah Hamdan bin Dalmuk, awarded the winners, stating: "We have shown the true image of our deep-rooted emirate society, relying on one of the symbols of the national heritage of the country - flamingos."
