Joby Aviation, a company specializing in the development of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for commercial passenger transportation, has announced the start of construction of the first vertiport in its network in Dubai. This airport is located at Dubai International Airport and is being constructed by Joby in partnership with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority and Skyports. This vertiport will be the first of its kind and will be used to serve Joby Aviation's electric air taxis in Dubai.
