A Cry of Hope Showcases Inner Struggles

On the second day of the Dubai Youth Theater Festival, the premiere of the play "Cry of Hope" took place, presented by the Association of Folk Arts and Theater of Abu Dhabi. This psychological tragedy depicted internal conflicts and human emotions, transitioning from despair to hope and joy.

The director of the association, Akhlam an-Nakhla, presented the characters of the play on stage, limited only by styles and lighting as scenic elements. The play begins with the characters narrating their experiences and transitions to expressing their emotions through dramatic situations.

The play by Abdulla as-Saad touches on deep human relations and challenges, portraying the history of women confronted with tragedy and psychological issues due to the loss of a husband in an avalanche. The narrative through the novel serves as a dramatic remedy, including therapeutic sessions that save from feelings of tension and emotional instability.

Director Akhlam an-Nakhla noted that her aim is to showcase the internal battles of each person, reflected in the artistic spectacle, which subsequently followed the investigation of psychological pathologies. She emphasized that the emotions presented in the play represent stages in a person's life that lead to a cry of hope.
