Expert, Dr. Kristina Budoroniuk, a specialist in iron, noted that chocolate contains magnesium, phosphorus and essential vitamins for the body; however, those with excess weight should limit its consumption. People with excess weight, liver problems, elevated arterial pressure, and cholesterol should reduce their chocolate intake. Moderate consumption of a small piece of chocolate per day does not cause harm, but excessive consumption can lead to obesity and liver problems.

The specialist notes that 100 g of chocolate contains 500-600 calories, therefore it is recommended to consume no more than 30 g of chocolate per day. Chocolate can be consumed with milk, either white or dark, as it helps in the production of serotonin and dopamine in the body, thus uplifting the mood.

Chocolate has a place in a person's diet, but only in certain amounts and qualities.
