The Organization of the United Nations stated on Sunday that it is receiving "extraordinarily troubling" reports of the killing of entire families in the north.
These reports indicate that armed conflicts continue to take the lives of innocent civilians, including women and children. The UN Secretary-General emphasized that such attacks on civilians constitute violations of international humanitarian law.
"We condemn these horrific acts and demand that those responsible be held accountable in court," said the UN representative.
National and international structures are alarmed by the rising number of victims among the civilian population and continue to require immediate cessation of hostilities.
