Aryna Sabalenka, the leader of the world ranking, is aiming to compete for victory at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships this week. Sabalenka, the holder of three Grand Slam titles, has received a bye in the first round of this week's 1000-point women's tournament.
"I will apply all my efforts to be in the best shape and compete at a high level here, hoping that sometime I will be able to win this tournament," said Sabalenka.
In the same spirit, she expressed confidence as did Coco Gauff, who stated she holds third place in the world ranking, about her readiness to fight for the title in Dubai. "Whenever we participate in any tournament, we always strive for victory," emphasized the 26-year-old Belarusian tennis player.
