The opinion of the former trainer of the "Al-Vasl" club, Naimat Abbasa, on what advice should be given to the players during the holy month of Ramadan, especially for players who do not have the opportunity to go out to the field during breaks in competitions, indicates participation in Ramadan tournaments to support fitness. Abbasa notes that one of the main obligations of the players is maintaining high flexibility, which helps reduce the risk of unexpected injuries. He emphasizes the importance of a balanced training program in conjunction with nutrition, as well as the necessity to follow the trainer's instructions.
Training sessions in the hall are directed at developing strength and should compensate for the loss of muscle mass. According to the trainer's opinion, the quality of training should vary depending on the age of the players. Thus, young players should regularly engage in sports after meal breakdowns to maintain physical form and flexibility. Players from higher leagues need to participate in many friendly matches to maintain readiness for competitions.
Abbasa stresses that players need to be more concentrated than other players, and trainers should develop plans to support high concentration. He also notes that players, be they footballers or fighters, bear the responsibility for maintaining their skills at a high level. During the month of Ramadan, players can gain the most benefit if they plan their diet correctly, avoid excess weight, and play in matches while adhering to the necessary amount of nightly sleep.
Players can conduct training sessions twice a day: before and after iftar, focusing on flexibility to overcome the difficulties caused by fasting. Such training sessions should not last very long, considering the sufficient water intake during the time of fasting.
