Ajman Coach: Our Season Is Not Over Yet

Head coach of Ajman FC, Goran Tovidzic, has stated that the football season for his team is not over yet, despite their exit from two major tournaments: the UAE President's Cup and the Abu Dhabi Professional Sports Cup. He emphasized that Ajman still harbors great ambitions and aims to finish the league season among the top four teams. Goran said that the elimination from the two cups does not diminish the team's aspirations, which remain focused on delivering strong performances as their fans are accustomed to seeing. He added that Ajman faced historically significant teams like Al Wahda and Al Jazira in the cups, and that his team played well in both matches and was close to progressing. The coach noted that in the match against Al Jazira, his team delivered one of its best performances of the season, forcing the opponent to retreat into their own half for the entire second half, but they lacked the final touch to change the result. Goran explained that this season has been the most challenging since he took charge of Ajman, due to bad luck and numerous injuries that affected the team's performance in several matches. He continued that when the squad was at full strength, the team achieved three consecutive victories and climbed to a high position in the table, which proves they are capable of competing when conditions are normal. Goran confirmed that the dressing room atmosphere remains cohesive despite the difficult early exits. He praised the players' high professionalism and fighting spirit, both on and off the field, stating that everyone is working towards a single goal. He also expressed his confidence in the upcoming match against Al Ain, highlighting the great enthusiasm and strong desire among the players to get back on track. Goran stated that the focus is now on the next phase of the league, specifically the match against Al Ain, and he expressed his firm belief in his team's ability to deliver a strong performance against the league leader. "The match against Al Ain will be tough, as they are motivated to maintain their top position, but I have faith in my team and its potential to achieve a positive result that will please Ajman's fans and compensate for the cup exit."
