The Dubai racing season kicked off with the 'Dubai Racing Carnival' at the Meydan racecourse. Seven turf races were held, sponsored by Emirates Airlines, with a total prize pool of 1.33 million dirhams.
In the main event over 1600 meters, the horse 'Cupid Dream', trained by Musabbeh Al Mheiri and ridden by jockey William Pereira, claimed victory with a time of 1 minute 39.34 seconds, finishing 3.33 lengths ahead of the runner-up.
In the opening race over 1200 meters, 'Dark Cyphron', trained by Ahmed Al Haremi and ridden by jockey Conor Beasley, secured his first win of the season with a time of 1 minute 12.52 seconds.
Other notable winners in their respective categories included 'Gray Boss', 'Union Security', 'Shipton Lodge', 'Rod Block', and 'Norato', who all celebrated their first victories of the season.
