The annual festival, chaired by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, was held in Dubai. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the President of the UAE Athletics Federation. The event was also attended by Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, a member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, and Sheikha Latifa bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Equestrian Federation. The festival was supported by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Investment Establishment. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi emphasized the importance of such events for the development of sports in the country and thanked the organizers for their efforts. Sheikha Latifa bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum noted that the festival contributes to strengthening cultural and sports ties between the Emirates. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stressed that Dubai aims to become a global hub for sports and culture, and such events are an important step in this direction.
