The national team for athletes with disabilities began its participation in the Asian Para Cycling Road Championships, held in the Saudi city of Al-Qassim, yesterday by winning four colored medals in the first day's competitions.Emirati athletes managed to secure two gold medals through Abdullah Salem Balushi in the (MC4) category and Salama Rashid Al-Khatari in the (WC5) category, in addition to a silver medal for Saeed Rashid Al-Zahiri in the (MH4) category and a bronze for Ahmed Mohamed Al-Bidawwi in the (MC5) category. This allowed the team to make its mark on the medal table early on and boost its chances of continuing to shine in the coming days of the championship.The races showed a high level of competition, but the Emirati cyclists successfully navigated the events with confidence and discipline, which was reflected in the outstanding results on the opening day.This start provides a significant morale boost for the players, especially after the positive results achieved at the recent West Asian Championship, which helped boost confidence within the team.
