
The Karate Association of the United Arab Emirates announced the participation of approximately 4000 martial artists, trainers, and official delegations in the World Juniors Karate League, which will take place at the Zayed Sports Complex in Al-Fujairah from February 20 to 23. This was announced at a press conference yesterday, Friday, on the beach in Al-Fujairah. The event was enhanced by aerial shows from Skydive Dubai with the participation of member of the Executive Council of the International Karate Federation and Deputy Chairman of the United Karate Association, Rashid Al Ali, General Secretary of the Arabian and Emirati Karate Association Hamid Shams, and the Deputy General Secretary of the United Karate Association of the Emirates, coordinator of the tournament Dr. Abdulla Saif Al-Badi. Local trainer Ahmed Salem Basali and athletes Faisal Al-Hadi, Rashid As-Suraidi, Nada Ahmed Abdulla, and Shama Al-Katbi also expressed their ambitions and goals for participating in the tournament. Hamid Shams emphasized: 'At this moment, the number of participating athletes is 2305 individuals from 87 countries. Also, 254 judges from 54 countries will participate, including 197 judges aiming to receive international recognition. 173 international judges from 61 countries will lead the matches. In addition, 137 trainers are preparing to receive certification from the accredited trainer representing these 62 federations.'
