Dibba's victory over Gulf United 3:0 moved the "Orlos" to the third place in the table, strengthening their position in the race.
In other matches, Dakhra defeated Majd 3:1, Krasnaya Jazira triumphed over Hamriya 2:1, and United overcame Gulf FC 2:1. Following the completion of the Fujairah and Dakhra rounds, they share first place with 33 points, followed by Dibba (31 points), Al-Arabi (30 points), Khattah (25 points), and United (24 points). The most successful teams in this stage were Dakhra and Dibba, improving their chances in the race, considering the draw by Fujairah and the defeat of Al-Arabi.
"The results of the 17th round have significantly reshuffled the standings, especially the draw by Fujairah and the departure from the top of Al-Arabi, as well as the loss of important points for Emirates," noted former coach and international lecturer Omar al-Hamadi. "All this changed the picture of the struggle for a place in the Professional League for these two teams."
In the next round, the most interesting match is expected to be the meeting between Fujairah and Dibba, which could draw all points on the i's in defining the team that falls into the Professional League.
