Fujairah Ready for World Youth Karate Championship

The emirate of Fujairah is preparing a major event—the World Youth Karate Championship, scheduled from February 12 to 15. Over 3,000 athletes from around the world are expected to participate. The organizing committee has confirmed that everything is ready for a high-level tournament.


Fujairah Ready for World Youth Karate Championship

Dr. Abdullah Al-Badi, Assistant Secretary of the Karate Federation and General Coordinator of the World Karate Youth Championship – Fujairah 2026, confirmed that the emirate of Fujairah is ready to host an event that is set to achieve new records in terms of the number of participants, audience attendance, and technical level of competitions. The championship will be held from February 12 to 15 at the Zayed Sports Complex in the emirate of Fujairah. Al-Badi emphasized that the Higher Organizing Committee, chaired by Major General Nasser Abdel Razak Al-Razouki, President of the UAE and Asian Federations and Vice President of the International Karate Federation, has raised the level of preparedness to the maximum to ensure that the championship concludes in the best organizational and technical image, in line with the distinguished international reputation of the tournaments and international events hosted by the UAE. He added that the Organizing Committee is working to present a championship worthy of the status of the United Arab Emirates and the emirate of Fujairah, and includes a number of surprises that will please the fans and followers. It is expected that more than 3,000 individuals from various parts of the world will participate in one of the largest and strongest editions of the World Junior Karate Championship, with approximately 450 people participating in organizing the event, along with 250 male and female volunteers, reflecting the spirit of teamwork that the country is accustomed to in organizing major sporting events. Al-Badi pointed out that the championship is a main stop on the International Karate Federation's agenda, aiming to polish the skills of young players, qualify them for continental and world competitions, in addition to its important role in the world rankings for age groups.
