Hatta Ramadan Tournament Set to Kick Off Tomorrow

The third edition of the traditional Hatta Ramadan Tournament will be even more massive and engaging than before. The sporting event, which is the largest in the Hatta region, starts tomorrow and will run until March 22. The tournament is organized by the Dubai Sports Council and Games Group with the support of the Higher Committee responsible for the development of the Hatta region.

During the event, athletes will compete in various sports disciplines, including mini-football, volleyball (men's and women's), beach volleyball (men's), computer games championship, running, powerlifting competitions, badminton (women's), and canoeing.

Preparation for the tournament involved the active participation of the youth of Hatta at all stages of the preparation, aimed at developing skills and abilities, as well as forming strong team spirit and national unity. Instilling the concept of volunteering and community spirit among the youth has also been one of the most important goals of the organizers.

The Games Group, in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council, has built plans for quality tournament organization, aimed not only at fostering physical development but also supporting the spirit of sportsmanship among numerous participants and spectators.

The main event will take place at the sports, cultural, and social club of Hatta. Additionally, special events for youth and families will be organized in the Madajeer zone, which adds a unique color to the tournament.

Particular attention should be paid to the participation of older age groups in the tournament: competitions and events for the elderly will be held in the natural complex of Hatta Waterfalls. The main task of the event is to showcase the values of "Year of Community" that strengthen community ties and positive values. Furthermore, traditionally, competitions serve to promote an active lifestyle.

The tournament also facilitates the establishment of contacts between different strata of society and improves the perspective of sustainable development with social-economic benefits. Cultural activities will be weekly events for participants of different ages, including competitions for children and girls, with multiple opportunities to win valuable prizes.
