Relay For Life (RFL) is set to return to Sharjah for its fourth Middle East edition on 25th–26th January, taking place at the American University of Sharjah (AUS). The event aims to unite individuals from various backgrounds to honor survivors, remember those lost to cancer, and raise crucial funds for life-saving treatments.
Organized by Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) in collaboration with the American Cancer Society, Relay For Life brings together survivors, caregivers, volunteers, and supporters to make a tangible impact on the lives of those affected by cancer. Each lap walked and every donation made contributes to providing essential support for cancer patients and their families.
The event features six dedicated zones designed to engage participants of all ages and create a memorable and immersive experience for everyone involved. The Kids Play Area Zone will offer young attendees a haven of fun with bouncy castles and various opportunities for laughter and entertainment.
The Track Zone lies at the heart of the event, providing participants with a chance to connect, express themselves, and embody the spirit of Relay For Life through thematic laps. In the General Activities Zone, attendees can partake in classic games and friendly challenges, fostering a sense of camaraderie and enjoyment.
The Main Stage Zone will be a hub for activities that inspire unity and healing. Meanwhile, the Adults Workshops Zone will offer activities such as accessory-making, canvas painting, and mosaic jar workshops for participants to showcase their creativity. Children, on the other hand, will have opportunities to unleash their imagination in the Kids Workshops Zone, engaging in arts and crafts, hair braiding, nail art design, glitter tattoos, and face painting for a day filled with joy and creativity.
Overall, Relay For Life in Sharjah aims to create a brighter future for patients and families affected by cancer, promising meaningful moments, vibrant community spirit, and unforgettable fun for all participants.
