The Sharjah Book Authority announced the winners of the first batch of its initiative, launched by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority. The announcement of the winners came after the completion of an intensive training program aimed at qualifying and supporting ambitious youth in the publishing field, with the goal of equipping them with the necessary skills to achieve success in this sector.

The program included a series of trainings and guidelines that led to the graduation of 20 trainees, where participants presented their final projects before a panel of experts in the field. Their projects were evaluated based on criteria including innovation, work models, financial viability, growth strategies, and active utilization of available grants.

Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, the Chief Executive Officer of the Sharjah Book Authority, emphasized the importance of the program and its role in enhancing the publishing industry in the UAE and the region. He expressed pride in launching this program, which aims to prepare a new generation of publishers capable of developing the publishing sector.

Five winning female participants stood out with their innovative projects: Maryam Thani Al Falaasy, Dalaal Hussein Al Jabri, Shra Nasir, Fatima Hussein Al Hamadi, and Asma Abdul Hafeeth Amarah. Each of them will receive a complete support package that includes financial grants, a trade license, and an office in Sharjah City for publishing, along with membership in the Emirates Publishers Association, in addition to other opportunities to develop skills and enhance their commercial identity.
