The Health, Labour and Social Affairs Committee of Sharjah's Advisory Council has convened to discuss pressing health issues facing the emirate. Their deliberations aim to enhance healthcare services and welfare initiatives.


Sharjah Advisory Council Discusses Health Issues

Yesterday, the committee on health, labor, and social issues of the Emirates Sharjah government discussed various aspects of public health in the region.

Under the chairmanship of the senior official in the health field, issues related to the improvement of the quality of medical services and the development of the health system in society were discussed. Special attention was given to the problems of mental health and the rehabilitation of the population after the pandemic.

"We call for the strengthening of measures to support mental health, as it is a key aspect of the well-being of society," noted the chairman of the committee.

During the meeting, issues of labor and social protection of citizens were also considered, including training programs and the retraining of the workforce. Measures were proposed to increase access to work for all segments of the population and to assist in the integration of migrants.

"We strive to create a fair and supportive environment for all residents of the emirate, where every person receives the necessary social protection," emphasized the deputy chairman of the committee.
