Airline Offers Boost Travel Demand Post-Peak Season

Airlines are launching offers on travel to select tourist destinations in Western and Eastern Europe and Indian Ocean islands as demand remains robust. The limited-time offers are available for booking until the end of February, aiming to stimulate travel to destinations experiencing lower demand after peak season.

Airline Offers Boost Travel Demand Post-Peak Season

Airlines have begun to offer special deals on tickets to tourist destinations in Europe and some remote islands of the Indian Ocean. Naroz Sarkis, the General Director of "Balhess Travel" company, noted that airlines are increasingly attracting travelers to places where demand decreases after the peak tourist season ends. The offers are limited and cover no more than 10% of available seats on flights.

He pointed out that the offers are valid for bookings from January to the end of February. During this period, the main portion of the offers is focused primarily on tourist destinations in Europe, while Eastern Asian countries receive fewer offers. Naroz Sarkis emphasized that prices for these offers are below usual prices and they exclude the peak demand period in March, during the time of the school's spring break and the holiday of Eid al-Fitr.

Saleh Mansur, Executive Director of STS in Dubai Link, noted that the decrease in airline offers towards Eastern Asian countries is attributed to a strong demand for travel in these regions.

Badr Akhli, Executive Director of Dubai World Travel, noted that airfare rates have now dropped compared to previous levels in December 2024. He suggested that in the coming weeks, airlines will start to offer promotional deals for the period after Eid al-Fitr, the spring and summer seasons.
