High Demand for Travel Tickets During Spring Break and Eid

Managers of tourism agencies noted that the overlap of the spring school holidays with the Eid Al-Fitr holiday at the end of March this year will lead to a sharp increase in demand for airline tickets in the UAE market, for both domestic and international flights. This is reflected in a significant price increase, including the most popular Arab destinations. They emphasized the importance of early travel planning and advance ticket booking to avoid potential price hikes.

According to online booking platforms, there is already a significant price increase for airline tickets from the UAE to various destinations, including the end of March. The Director of Public Relations of Faisal Travel agency, Yasin Diab, noted that prices for airline tickets have started to gradually rise for flights coinciding with the Eid Al-Fitr holiday and the spring holidays, with demand exceeding last year's levels.

Diab indicated that the increased demand for travel begins in the last week of March and continues until mid-April, and current prices are higher than those of the previous year, due to the combination of two holidays and the desire of many travelers to travel during this time to visit relatives or spend their vacation in tourist destinations.

In Diab's opinion, the substantial demand is concentrated in direction to Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, as well as nearby tourist routes in Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia. He specified that the demand exceeds the supply, which leads to price increases. Diab emphasized the importance of early booking for those wishing to travel, especially during these holiday periods.

The General Director of STS company in the Dubai Link group, Salah Mansour, mentioned that travelers this year will encounter the overlap of the Eid Al-Fitr holiday and school breaks, which gives families and individual travelers the chance to travel. He indicated that this may cause difficulties in finding reasonably priced tickets due to the increased demand for airline tickets during this overloaded period.

Mansour added that planning travel in advance provides clients with wider options for choosing suitable flights, which helps save significant amounts of money, since advance bookings allow for selecting the optimal time and the best prices.
