CIPS Signs MoU with Ministry of Finance for New Diploma

The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Finance to launch a practitioner-level diploma in procurement and supply by 2025, aimed at enhancing national competencies and encouraging innovation in the government sector.

The Ministry of Finance has concluded an agreement with the CIPS Procurement and Supply Institute on the launch of a diploma program for procurement and supplies by 2025. This initiative aims to develop national competencies, expand innovations in the public sector, and enhance the competitiveness of the UAE on the global stage.

The CIPS certification program is intended for finance directors managing procurement and senior officials in the federal government. The goal of the program is to strengthen their professional and analytical skills, provide the necessary tools for implementing effective procurement strategies that contribute to financial and ecological sustainability, ensuring the efficiency of public procurement processes.

The Deputy Minister of Finance, Yunus Khadji al-Khouri, who signed the agreement with the regional director of the CIPS Institute, Semom Ashambdzh, noted that "our partnership with the CIPS Institute opens new perspectives for the development of national competencies through advanced educational programs, improving the productivity of the government and its competitiveness".

Al-Khouri emphasized that the launch of the diploma program is a significant step toward enhancing the capabilities of federal government employees to implement innovative procurement strategies focused on financial and ecological sustainability.

Ashambdzh stated: "The diploma program at the level of practicing specialists from the CIPS Institute is designed to strengthen the capabilities of government employees by providing them with effective and sustainable strategies in the procurement and supply sector."
