
During the new session "Kerala Summit of Global Investments" in the Indian state of Kerala, Minister of Economics Abdul Ben Tavaq al-Mari noted that the UAE-India relations are characterized by a long history of cooperation, based on mutual interests in various areas, in conjunction with the visible leadership of both countries.
The minister emphasized that the economic cooperation between the two countries is constantly developing, for instance, only last year the UAE market received more than 41.6 thousand Indian licenses, with a total number of licenses exceeding 247 thousand by the end of 2024. India is also one of the largest markets for tourism in the UAE, where over two million Indian tourists visit annually, reflecting the depth and durability of bilateral economic relations.
He expressed confidence in the growing views and strategies between the UAE and India on expanding new and sustainable economic sectors. He noted that this summit represents an important platform for strengthening trade and investment partnerships and actively involving new investment opportunities in various sectors, contributing to economic growth and attracting foreign investments.
Al-Mari also mentioned the joint cosmic project between the UAE and India within the framework of the initiative (I2U2) aimed at developing advanced technological solutions to combat ecological and climatic challenges. He also visited the Calicut Medical Center, where he familiarized himself with the latest digital solutions and technologies in the healthcare sector, highlighting its importance in developing the economy through technological innovations.
