The UAE ranked 13th globally and first regionally in the '2026 Global Human Prosperity Index' by American magazine 'CEO World', scoring 94.06 points and falling into the top 'Distinguished Prosperity' category. The list of 193 countries was ranked based on their efficiency in converting economic resources into tangible human benefits, including quality of life, education, income, political stability, social cohesion, and opportunities, as well as job security and work-life satisfaction. The magazine states that the most significant competition in today's global economy lies not just in market share or GDP growth, but in a more fundamental question: 'Which countries are best for living, working, and building a better life and future?' The 'Global Human Prosperity Index' serves as a strategic lens for sovereign wealth funds, CEOs, investors, and decision-makers to develop strategies, assess risks, and identify community and institutional strengths and quality. It also highlights regions likely to host talent, corporate headquarters, and high-value services. In this regard, the UAE outperformed several prominent nations, including Belgium, New Zealand, the United States, Ireland, the UK, and Japan, emerging as a key global center capable of turning economic resources into tangible outcomes in quality of life, job opportunities, and stability. Meanwhile, Switzerland topped the 'CEO World' ranking with 97.92 points, followed by Iceland (97.81) and Australia (97.7).
