The UAE continues to strengthen its position as a global industrial power in the aluminum sector, being the fifth largest producer worldwide, with over 1.15 million tons exported in the first half of the year.

The long-term strategy of companies from the United Arab Emirates in the field of aluminum production has allowed the country to maintain the position of the fifth largest aluminum producer in the world. A distinctive feature of this thriving sector is high-tech production and large-scale export operations, which have made EGA one of the largest aluminum producers on a global scale. In particular, Emirates Global Aluminium is a leader in the industry, exporting over 1.15 million tons of aluminum in the first half of the current year.

As part of the national industrial strategy 'Project 300 Billion', Emirates Global Aluminium actively contributes to the development of the industry and diversification of the UAE's economy. The company implements a localization policy for supply chains, invests in industrial and technological development, which positively impacts the Emirati economy.

Promoting its economic goals, the company achieved sales of over 149 thousand tons of aluminum within the country in the first half of the current year. This allows stimulating the development of processing industries in the UAE and contributes to achieving the objectives of 'Project 300 Billion'.

Abdulla Kalban, the General Director of Emirates Global Aluminium, emphasized the significant contribution of the company to the national economy, noting that last year the company contributed around 23.8 billion dirhams, accounting for over 1.3% of the overall GDP.

The company actively participates in the national value-added program of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, increasing the share of local purchases. Emirates Global Aluminium strives to enhance the localization of supplies and services within its own supply chain, particularly concerning aluminum procurement, raw materials for aluminum production.

Supporting the development of startups and entrepreneurship, the company actively participates in the RAMP-UP program, providing support to young entrepreneurs. This contributes to increasing local procurement opportunities for the company, supporting initiatives such as 'Produced in the UAE' and the national industrial growth strategy 'Project 300 Billion'. Thus, Emirates Global Aluminium collaborates with young companies launched within the RAMP-UP program for initiating experimental localization projects and supporting local entrepreneurship.
