According to reports from tourism agencies, tourism in the Alps has become increasingly popular among residents of the UAE in recent years. They are looking for adventures and are eager to try new tourist experiences. Five luxury destinations attract special interest among UAE residents: Austria, France, Switzerland, Italy, and Japan. For example, Courchevel in the French Alps is one of the most popular among travelers from the UAE.

The statements from the mentioned agencies indicate that when choosing a destination for winter holidays, UAE residents pay attention to luxury accommodation, ease of travel, gourmet dining options, family amenities, and the beauty of nature. They also note that ski resorts offer not only winter sports activities but also outdoor activities for children and adults, such as walks in snowshoes or mountain biking in the summer.

According to the words of Mohamed Jassim Reys, general director of the Al Reyss Group, tourism in the Alps has become popular among UAE residents in search of unique experiences and new tourist endeavors. He notes that the majority of them prefer destinations for skiing in January and February. There is also a growing interest in trying new sporting activities.

According to experts, Courchevel in the French Alps is one of the most expensive places for vacationing. The average cost of a weekend stay in Courchevel can be around 40,000 dirhams for two, and this price may vary depending on the hotel level, accommodations on the slopes, and other amenities.

Continuing on, Mettyu Flémix, director of recreational programs at the “Dnata for Travel” company, speaks about the growing interest in luxury trips during the winter season 2024-2025. He notes that the French and Swiss Alps are becoming among the most popular destinations for winter holidays.

He mentions that the company “Dubai Global for Travel” asserts that Courchevel in the French Alps, Saint-Moritz in Switzerland, and Zermatt in Switzerland are among the most sought-after destinations for winter holidays among UAE residents, and there is also a noticed rise in interest in less known places like Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey.

Tourism agencies offer packages in Courchevel ranging from 25,000 to 50,000 dirhams per couple for a weekend in five-star hotels. The package includes accommodation, airfare, transfer services, ski passes, and other excursions.
