In the venue, the Shabab-Qartira of the Association of Down Syndrome United Arab Emirates held the first championship for robots for children with Down syndrome, in which 44 students representing five centers and two schools participated.

The head of the directors' council, Dr. Manal Jaruur, emphasized that this championship is an important step towards engaging attention to the abilities of our children and unlocking their potential.

"We created a robotics club in 2018, noting the growing interest of our children in robotics, and our championship participated in the GITEX exhibition that same year, as well as in the competitions of the Ministry of Education in 2019 and 2020, as well as at the International Expo 2023," she added.

"This championship represents a historical opportunity and opens doors for people with Down syndrome to explore the world of technology, which contributes to strengthening their motor and intellectual skills," she continued.
