The Ministry of Interior Affairs of the UAE has announced the launch of the procedure for UAE citizens to participate in the 'Global Entry' program in accordance with the agreement signed between the governments of the United Arab Emirates and the United States of America, represented by the Ministry of Interior Affairs of the UAE and the Department of Homeland Security of the USA.
This agreement was signed during the official visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the United States in September. The 'Global Entry' program is part of initiatives to secure the borders of the USA, allowing UAE citizens expedited access to the United States for tourism, business travel, and personal visits.
Participants will be able to take advantage of expedited entry through dedicated transit gates at US airports, improving their travel experience and strengthening bilateral relations between the UAE and the USA.
This program is seen as a confirmation of strong ties between the UAE and the USA, recognizing the prestigious reputation of the UAE. It aims to simplify travel procedures for UAE citizens, providing seamless access to more than 75 US ports of entry.
"After submitting an application on the official website, program participants will undergo a security check and may utilize automated verification devices at entry points, significantly reducing wait times and the need for additional paperwork," emphasized the Ministry of Interior Affairs of the UAE.
However, it is important to note that travelers must, at least, have a valid visa for entry into the United States.
