Al-Nassr club captain Luka expressed satisfaction with his team's performance in the Dubai Derby against Al-Wasl (1-1) in the 15th round of the Professional Football League. He noted that the players showed high concentration from the first to the last minute, and the team was close to winning if not for small details.
"Of course, we aimed for victory, but overall we are satisfied with the level of play and complete control of the match," Luka told Emirates Today.
The captain pointed out that in this match, the team used a formation with three midfielders for the first time, which gave the 'Blues' a clear advantage in ball control and attack building.
"We put in a lot of effort, controlled the midfield, and closed all gaps. This made us the better side for most of the game. We know the fans are unhappy about losing easy points this season, but we promise to fight in every match to win and make up for it."
Luka also commented on the newcomers' performance: "The new players made a clear contribution and showed a good level in a match of this scale like the derby. They proved they will be an additional strength for the team in the future."
