Abdul Majid Hussein, Vice President of Shabab Al Ahli Football Company, described the 4-1 victory over Sharjah in the 15th round of the ADNOC Professional League as "big and beautiful." He believes the team demonstrated good technical and tactical play, with goals scored from various positions.
This success allowed the club to strengthen its position in the standings. With 38 points, Shabab Al Ahli confidently leads the championship. Hussein noted that victory over a direct competitor is especially important and emphasized the need to use this momentum for future achievements.
Regarding the future, he called the upcoming stage difficult. The club must prove itself on the domestic front and in Asia. Besides leading the league, the team has excellent chances in the President's Cup and the AFC Champions League.
The Vice President highly praised the performance of Brazilian Joao Marcelo and expressed hope for the gradual return of Sardar Azmoun and Mateus Lima from injuries. He denied rumors of a conflict with Azmoun, clarifying that the player is training fully and will soon return to the field.
"This win is a step in the right direction, but we have not yet reached our goal. Great efforts and tough competition with teams like Al Ain and Al Wahda lie ahead," Hussein stated.
