Dubai Maritime Authority recorded 1,574 new maritime registrations in 2024, increasing the total to 7,853. The region aims to strengthen its position as a global maritime trade hub.

According to information received from the Dubai Ports Authority's Marine Services, there were 1,574 new marine vessels registered in 2024. The total number of port calls in the emirate amounts to 20, including thousands of calls of various sizes, capable of accommodating luxury yachts.

It has been revealed that the total number of registered marine vessels reached 7,853 units by the end of 2024. The main objective of the Marine Services Authority's work is the development and regulation of the marine sector and the activities of water transport in Dubai in accordance with international standards, cooperating with interested parties, and adhering to principles of enhancing the international status of the emirate as a global center for maritime trade.

The focus is on principles of transparency, supporting healthy competition, and protecting the interests of marine sector participants. There is also a push for the increased use of clean fuels and green technologies, modernization of infrastructure to improve the effectiveness of maritime operations, and enhancing safety at sea through increased inspections of vessels and maritime facilities.

The primary task of the Authority is simplifying procedures for clients, reducing the necessary documentation through electronic interaction with other entities, minimizing service provision time, as well as providing full refusal of in-person visits to service centers through online service provision and contact center of the entity.

The Dubai Marine Services Authority actively implements modern digital solutions, aimed at increasing operational efficiency, reducing operational costs, and improving customer satisfaction levels.
