Emirates Petroleum Launches Digital Currency Payment Initiative

The large oil company "Emirates" announced the launch of an initiative for accepting digital currencies at their refueling stations in the near future. It is planned to start implementing the project at 10 stations, with subsequent expansion to all establishments, including subsidiaries. According to information from "Emirates today", the initiative was launched as part of a strategic partnership with the global company "Crypto.com", specializing in digital assets and financial technologies, for the integration of payments through the "Crypto.com Pay" platform.

The manager of the retail sales department and senior vice president of marketing for "Emirates" Ali bin Zaid al-Falasi noted that the company has become the first in the tanker industry sector in the Middle East and North Africa, providing payment services in digital currencies. It is planned to sequentially implement the initiative, starting with 10 stations, with subsequent expansion to all subsidiaries of "Emirates".

"Emirates" aims to realize the initiative through a strategic partnership with "Crypto.com" to ensure payment in digital currencies through the "Crypto.com Pay" platform. This will allow for quick and convenient payment without commissions for transactions. The company is actively working on innovations and adopting the latest technologies, proposing forward-thinking solutions.

The "Landmark" project, which allows companies to gain the right to brand selected "Emirates" stations at strategic locations, is being launched with the naming of "Crypto.com" at the "Al-Amin" station on Al-Vasl Street, which reflects the visual identity of "Crypto.com" along with "Emirates", supporting digital payments through combined energy and financial technological integration.

Ali bin Zaid al-Falasi shared that "Emirates" has also launched the "Grow with Emirates" initiative, which has already attracted around 50 small companies in just a month since its inception. The company plans to involve around 150 small and medium enterprises by the end of this year, providing them the opportunity to promote their products at the refueling stations of the network with maritime transactions and receive discounts of up to 50% on registration and placement of goods.
