Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has expanded its horizons in corporate social responsibility and made extensive humanitarian contributions throughout 2025, the 'Year of Community' in the UAE. The authority launched volunteer initiatives within Dubai and internationally. It contributed to enriching Dubai's vibrant community, strengthening bonds of cooperation, solidarity, and social cohesion through its initiatives, programs, and events. DEWA provided more opportunities for volunteer and humanitarian work, broadening the horizons for the comprehensive and sustainable empowerment of all community segments. Between 2013 and 2025, the authority launched 496 local and global community initiatives through comprehensive strategic partnerships, during which its employees recorded 470,270 volunteer hours in humanitarian and community initiatives, benefiting many countries worldwide. We are keen to achieve a balance between economic, social, and environmental requirements within a clear framework for integrated institutional work to serve and delight the community. During 2025, the authority launched 31 community initiatives.
