Dubai has introduced a new strategy for the development of the real estate sector titled "Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033." This strategy is built around the objectives of Dubai's Economic Program D33, the Social Program D33, and the Dubai Urban Development Master Plan until 2040, aiming to strengthen Dubai's position as a global leader in innovations and sustainable development.
According to official data, the Dubai real estate market continues to show impressive results, recording more than 163,000 transactions in the first nine months of 2024, totaling more than 544 billion dirhams. Investments in real estate reached about 376 billion dirhams during the same period, thanks to modern infrastructure and a robust legal framework.
The main goal of this strategy is to create advanced digital infrastructure for optimizing processes and ensuring transparent investment practices. Marwan Ahmad bin Ghalita, the General Director of the Dubai Land Department, noted that the new strategy aligns with the vision of Mohammed bin Rashid and is aimed at transforming the Dubai real estate sector by enhancing sustainability and cementing its role as a key driving factor in the industry at both regional and global levels.
"Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033" outlines a roadmap for increasing the economic impact of the sector on the emirate through significant increases in transaction volumes and enhancing its attractiveness as a prime destination for international investors. This plan also aims to inspire transformational changes in the Dubai real estate sector towards sustainable development and solidifying Dubai's leadership as a regional and global leader in real estate.
The strategy includes a series of long-term programs over the next ten years, such as the Transparency Program and Global Marketing Program, Data and Management Program, Flexible Building Program, Investment Funds in Real Estate Program, Affordable Housing Program, and Sustainable Real Estate Development Program, as well as the Emiratis' Competitiveness Enhancement Program in the Real Estate Sector.
Technologies play a central role in the "Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033," aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness, improving client experiences, and supporting sector growth with the help of artificial intelligence and data centralization.
Within this strategy, there is also a focus on the importance of the national Emiratization program in the real estate sector, emphasizing the significance of developing local talents and their active participation in this industry to ensure the market's sustainability.
The focus on growth and sustainability is also expressed through improvements in data transparency via data analysis, strengthening the market structure, and sectoral ecology, primarily relying on continuous innovations.
