The Chairman of the Cybersecurity Council of the UAE, Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al-Kuwaiti, stated that the country has a proactive cybersecurity system that is capable of predicting and countering the majority of cyber attacks even before they occur. This connection is aimed at ensuring the protection of the country's digital space from potential cyber threats.
"Our capabilities in the field of cybersecurity, utilizing advanced artificial intelligence, allow us to detect attacks even before they begin, determine their characteristics, and track aggressors — all of this is implemented in cooperation with the world's best practices in cybersecurity," he emphasized.
The average daily cyber attacks on key sectors exceed 50,000, all of which are proactively prevented and minimized. The national cybersecurity center of the country has a seamless connection with important sectors, including energy, water supply, healthcare, banking, and other life-essential industries, all of which depend on digital infrastructure.
"The modern war has transitioned into cyber space, where cyber attacks are launched using tools such as viruses, DDoS attacks, and disinformation campaigns, which are aimed at manipulating public opinion and destabilizing global societies," added Al-Kuwaiti.
The Cybersecurity Council conducts several simultaneous exercises during IDEX and NAVDEX 2025, collaborating with the Ministry of Defense and other partners, with a focus on countering the threats of disinformation and deepfakes.
