Nutrition Tips for Healthy Weight Management

As a pharmacist at Click Pharmacy, health nutrition expert Yana Aplovska offers valuable advice to those who want to regulate their calorie intake in their diet.

"Many are surprised by the amount of calories in certain healthy products," says Yana. "A serving of yogurt with a bit of granola contains twice fewer calories than that same portion of granola itself, even though granola itself is considered more caloric than you might think."

On this note, Yana explains that only 40 grams of yogurt with granola contains 120 calories, according to reports from Surrey Live.

She recommends sticking to small portions of fruit juice rather than indulging in large cups. Therefore, if you are on a low-fat diet and aiming to lose weight, it's best to cut down on nut servings.

Yana points out: "A large spoonful of almond butter contains 65 calories, while 40 grams of peanut butter - 230 calories." She notes that a 250-milliliter cup of apple juice contains about 120 calories.

She also mentions that controlling weight and consuming small quantities of juice along with breakfast can be beneficial, and you can dilute the juice with water to reduce sugar content.

As for nuts, they are also considered a healthy option, but they are high in calories. Yana says: "Nuts are an excellent source of protein and fiber, as well as important vitamins and minerals, such as magnesium, found in almonds, walnuts, and peanuts." However, one must be cautious with nuts, as they are high in calories.
