The Healthcare Future Summit in Dubai addressed adult vaccination and infectious disease prevention, attracting over 5,000 participants, promoting health awareness and innovation.


Global Health Leaders Meet at Dubai Healthcare Summit

During the summit, supporting public policies in the field of health care to reduce the incidence of infectious diseases among adults worldwide, vaccination technology and the establishment of regular immunization programs for adults are being promoted.

At the Health Conference, where more than 400 participants from 200 schools of the UAE gathered, challenges in the field of vaccination were discussed with the aim of forming a health-conscious society of students and parents. Organized by the Dubai Health Authority, the conference focused on the health of students, mental well-being, nutrition, preventive care, and readiness for emergency situations in schools.

Within the framework of the conference, the impact of technology and social media on health was also discussed, as well as strategies for students with chronic illnesses or special needs.

At the Future Health Summit, 206 doctors and specialists participated in 184 scientific sessions, where knowledge and innovations were exchanged.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Vice President, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, delivered a speech at the summit as a sponsor.

The forum included key international events, including the Dubai Conference and exhibitions on otolaryngology, neurology, and basic skull surgery, an annual gathering of ENT specialists, international conferences, and exhibitions on family medicine, as well as the Dubai School Health Conference initiative.

The event was conducted in collaboration and knowledge exchange in global health sectors, highlighting the role of the UAE as a leader in innovations and health development.

Over 5,000 health leaders, researchers, policymakers, and innovators from the sector attended the conference, discussing recent advancements in vaccination technologies, vaccination practices, and efforts to combat infectious diseases.

Dr. Ramadhan Al Bloshi, advisor to the General Director of Dubai Health Authority and chairman of the scientific committee of the summit, noted that "the summit successfully united global leaders in the field of health to discuss advanced vaccination technologies, practices for immunization, and urgent problems of infectious diseases."

He added that thanks to active participation and a high level of engagement at the summit, a vision was formed for the future in the prevention of infectious diseases.

Among the issues discussed at the summit were vaccination programs for adults, highlighting the importance of vaccinations against diseases such as respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), which pose increased risks for the elderly.

It highlighted the vaccine against influenza as an effective preventive measure, especially for adults at higher risk, to alleviate the burden on health systems.

The main theme became the creation of a comprehensive vaccination graph for adults aimed at reducing morbidity, lowering healthcare costs, and improving quality of life.

The Future Health Summit also presented vaccination strategies as part of a proactive approach to healthy living in the elderly population.

Strategies and tools for creating safe, supportive environments in schools were presented. Dr. Wafi Daoud, General Director of the Strategy and Planning Sector of Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), emphasized the role of initiatives such as the Dubai Fitness Challenge in promoting physical activity for students and families.

Daoud noted that the well-being of students is an integral part of the Dubai Education Strategy 2033 (E33), which focuses on the learning process with an emphasis on students from early education to lifelong learning.

Preventive health and early interventions in student health were key themes, discussing nutrition, mental health, stress management, hygiene, and protocols for responding to crisis situations.

The vaccine against RSV was marked for its effectiveness for adults over the age of 50, highlighted as a crucial element in protecting the elderly.

Dr. Farida Al Hosani, Chair of the Global Health Organization's Consultative Group on the development of influenza vaccines, remarked: "Vaccination is necessary throughout adulthood.

More than 112 participating brands have joined in to further strengthen ties in the health sector.
