During the visit, students participated in the specialized training program «Artificial Intelligence and the Professional Future,» presented by a select group of the Academy's trainers. They explored the importance of artificial intelligence and its role in developing media content, analyzing data, and managing digital platforms, in addition to discussing the ethical and professional challenges associated with its applications in newsrooms and media organizations. The Academy also organized an interactive panel discussion led by media personality Asma Al-Nakbi, which focused on the key transformations in the media industry in the age of artificial intelligence and ways to leverage technology to serve credibility and create impactful content. Emphasis was placed on the importance of developing digital and analytical skills to keep up with the future of the profession. During the session, Al-Nakbi shared a number of practical experiences drawn from her media background, while media professional Dr. Hamid Al-Zaabi delivered a lecture titled «Fundamentals of News Editing in the Digital Media Environment,» covering the professional rules for writing news and editing reports using modern digital methods. Mona Busamra, Director of the Dubai Media Academy, stressed the importance of connecting media students with the realities and future challenges of the profession, aligning with the Academy's goals and its role as a leading center in media training and qualifying national cadres. She stated: «At the Dubai Media Academy, we are keen to open new horizons for university students to learn about the latest technological trends in media, including artificial intelligence applications, with the aim of preparing an aware media generation capable of keeping pace with the future and producing responsible and innovative content.» At the conclusion of the visit, participating students expressed their gratitude to the Dubai Media Academy for the rich educational experience it provided, which combined practical training with direct interaction. They affirmed that such visits represent a valuable opportunity to gain field experience and broaden their intellectual horizons in the world of digital media.
