Sharjah Classic Car Festival Kicks Off

For the second time, the Festival of Vintage Cars is being held in Sharjah. At the opening, high-ranking officials and experts in the field of automotive engineering were present. The main event will take place until February 17.

This year's festival includes more than 400 rare and vintage transport vehicles, dating back to the early last century, which highlights its importance as one of the major events in the region. Among the exhibits are vehicles from Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Khalifa Al Nahyan, both models from 1988.

The festival program includes specialized discussions, entertainment activities, food and trade areas, as well as auctions of rare vintage cars, where collectors can bid for unique models. There will also be prizes awarded at the festival, under the supervision of experts in vintage automobiles.

On the first day of the festival, a discussion titled "The Acquisition of Vintage Cars: Hobby or Business?" was organized, during which the criteria for selecting a suitable vintage car as an investment or hobby were discussed. One of the speakers emphasized the importance of preserving the originality of vehicles during their restoration and proposed the creation of expert commissions for assessing vintage cars, especially those that will be passed on as heirlooms.

The festival is held in the building of the Sharjah Vintage Cars Club under the slogan "Where Histories Begin."
