The Sharjah Museums Authority has opened the interactive exhibition 'From Shell to Crown' to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the opening of Bait Al Naboodah, one of Sharjah's heritage landmarks that reflects the emirate's history in diving and pearl hunting. The event was attended by a number of officials, representatives of educational institutions, and organizations concerned with child welfare. The exhibition offers an educational and interactive experience that explains the formation and properties of pearls, with a special focus on the 'Junn' type, which forms in the depths of the Gulf. Bait Al Naboodah, built in 1845 and once the residence of the merchant Obaid bin Isa bin Ali bin Nasser Al Shamsi, is one of the most prominent historical landmarks in Sharjah. It was reopened as a museum in 1995 and renovated in 2018.
