UAE Condemns Israeli Parliament Approval

For a long time, secret information has been held regarding the fact that Knesset members from the Israeli parliament are planning to visit the UAE, which caused unease in Palestine. The visit program presumes meetings in Abu Dhabi and Dubai with high-ranking officials, businessmen, and academics. Furthermore, Israeli parliamentarians plan to visit the memorial for Holocaust victims and meet with members of the Federal National Council. In connection with these activities at the diplomatic level, the Palestinian Authority has filed a complaint with the UAE regarding such an extension of Israel.

A Palestinian official labeled the deputies' visit as a 'violation', stating that it 'destroys and undermines any efforts for achieving peace and stability in the region'; he also accused the UAE of violating UN resolutions and the League of Arab States’ mandates directed at supporting the rights of the Palestinian people.
